If you thought Laveau couldn’t get any creepier, think again. Last night, October 10th, the annual Blood Rave returned to kick off Spooky Season in true Laveau fashion, and let’s just say it was a bloody good time. Literally.
The place looked like something straight out of a horror movie. Picture an ancient Gothic castle, dark and ominous, with fountains pouring what looked suspiciously like blood from every corner of the stage. And right in the middle of it all? DJ Poppy, serving up an absolute killer set. The music was on point, and Poppy looked like she had stepped straight out of True Blood, setting the perfect tone for a night that kicked off Spooky Season in true Laveau fashion.

Of course, the crowd came dressed to impress. Vampires, demons, and all sorts of creatures of the night showed up in their finest spooky attire. For a little while, the warehouse looked like a gathering of the supernatural elite. But those carefully put-together outfits didn’t stay pristine for long. A relentless rain of blood poured over the entire rave, slowly turning the crowd into one big, red-stained mess. And this wasn’t just a quick shower, either. The bloody downpour kept going for over four hours. Hope nobody had plans to wear those outfits again anytime soon.
As expected, the party drew a lively crowd from Laveau and the surrounding areas, bringing together locals, workers, and visitors ready to dance the night away. Judging by the turnout and the atmosphere, this year’s edition was another resounding success.

And for those already wondering whether the night ended in the usual Laveau-style chaos, the Laveau Sheriff Department (LSD) reported no incidents. Yes, you read that right. A warehouse full of vampires, demons, artificial blood raining from the sky, and not a single incident worth reporting. Miracles do happen.
So, consider Spooky Season officially open, Laveau! After everything Hurricane Jolene threw our way, seeing the town come together for a night like this is a reminder that Laveau knows how to get back on its feet, no matter how deep the waters get. So enjoy the parties, make the most of the activities lined up throughout the month, keep those Bloody Marys full, and have some fun while you can. Because if there’s one thing we’ve learned about life in Laveau, it’s that you never know when things might take a darker turn again.
Happy Spooky Season, everyone!
